Tsunami watches issued, 7.3 Mag. earthquake hits island of Haiti

A Tsunami watch has been issued to all surrounding coast lines of Haiti after another quake boomed the earth this afternoon with a devasting 7.3 on the Richter Scale. Reported to have "struck about 10 miles southwest of the country’s capital, Port-au-Prince" this was only the first large earthquake for the area to see. Another earthquake, located roughly thirty miles away, measured to almost a 6.

"A tsunami threat exists to coasts within 100 kilometers from the epicenter, tsunami watches have been issued for Haiti, Cuba, the Bahamas and the Dominican Republic."
