A final Olympic thought

The Olympic crowds quickly vanish in downtown Vancouver and the city now begins the clean up from the last two weeks of Olympic partying that has been going on in celebration of the 2010 Winter Games.  After several articles over the past month discussing the historical event, today will be the last of my Olympic Games coverage.  In summary of the recent events in British Columbia, I thought a final Olympic thought was appropriate.   

In today's Vancouver Headlines Examiner article, I summarized my take on these recent events and included my thoughts that:

"...The snow thankfully held out throughout the Games and protesting was kept to a minimum.  A spirit was seen in Canada, in a way, different than ever before. Together, people from all over the world were able to join in relative peace, all for the same purpose and fill the streets of a city for three weeks and party!.."
